Via Christi HOPE
Via Christi Healthcare Outreach Program for Elders, Inc. (Via Christi HOPE) opened in September of 2002 as the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization for the Via Christi Health System. Via Christi HOPE was the first PACE site in the State of Kansas.
Via Christi HOPE assists older adults to remain safe and independent in the community for as long as possible. This is accomplished through high quality, health and social services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
"A year ago, I was sick and all alone. I didn't have any hope I would get well. Then I heard about Via Christi HOPE, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) operated by Via Christi Senior Services.
"Here I am this year (at HOPE), with all these friends and wonderful staff to help me stay well. I feel like God put His hands in my life. The staff at HOPE are like angels." (HOPE Participant)

Independent living options offered by Via Christi Health
When it’s time to retire, the idea of maintaining a home becomes less appealing. Via Christi Health has options for retirees to not only maintain their independence, but also get the benefits of living in a strong community atmosphere.
Memory Care
Via Christi’s Memory Care program is an option for those who are struggling with dementia or have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The goal of Memory Care is to provide a safe and secure environment with the familiar comforts of home and the supportive care of a professionally trained staff. The Memory Care Residence at the Catholic Care Center has been received certification in the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Excellence in Care Dementia Program of Distinction. This makes Catholic Care the only the fifth center in the United States to receive this designation, and the first and only in Kansas.
