The Age of Chivalry was brought to back to life this weekend with the 2012 Fall Great Plains Renaissance Festival.
The festival is one of Wichita's longest standing spring traditions, bringing singing pirates, fire breathing daredevils, medieval belly dancers, knights in heavy armor, medieval music, whimsical fairies, and jousters on horseback to the Sedgwick County Park.

Festival goers came dressed to impress in capes, armor, tunics, and other medieval attire. Even if attendees didn’t arrive in their finest armored outfits, they definitely had the option of leaving in one.
Vendors were selling everything from medieval outfits to weaponry, accessories to armor; there was something available to turn you into a true renaissance individual.
The spring festival took place on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2012.
