2012 Prairie Fire Marathon (October 14, 2012) |
More than 4,600 runners hit the streets of downtown Wichita to compete in the Prairie Fire Wichita Marathon.

The race kicked-off with the Full Marathon (26.2 Miles) at 8:00 AM, followed by the Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) at 8:15 AM. The race also included a Mayor’s 5K and Fun Run.
The 26.2 mile route took runners through the heart of some of downtown Wichita’s great landmarks and growing residential areas.
The route included the following areas: College Hill, Central Business District, Eastborough, Riverside, Old Town, Old Cowtown, Keeper of the Plains, and the Arkansas River.
