Why you should go: From Buzz Lightyear to Nemo, Mickey Mouse to Pinocchio, the magic of Disney will come to life in the incredible ice-skating performance, “Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic” inside INTRUST Bank Arena.
This magical show celebrates a century of Disney by combining 18 classic stories, 24 unforgettable songs and over 60 Disney characters that have entertained families around the world… all into ONE show!
This production includes the largest cast of Disney characters on ice, including your favorite characters from Disney classics like The Lion King, Mulan, Pinocchio, Aladdin, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Stich; and Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nemo, Toy Story and The Incredibles – and all of the original characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy.

2) St. Patrick’s Weekend in Historic Delano

Why you should go: The 7th Annual St. Patrick's Parade in Delano will take place along Douglas Avenue from McLean Blvd. to Walnut St.
This is the place to be for St Patrick’s Day! Enjoy a $7 breakfast at the Downtown Senior Center from 8 to 11 a.m. where you’ll be served sausage links, biscuits & gravy and hash browns.
Starting at 9 a.m., do some pre-parade partying at the Shamrock Lounge (1724 W. Douglas) where you can enjoy Irish/Celtic music or play free shuffleboard/pool. Potatoes O’Brien, Scrambled Eggs and Soda Bread will be available for $6.00. Green beer and drink specials will be provided all day.
At Noon, enjoy the Seventh Annual St. Patrick’s Parade on Douglas Avenue, from the Arkansas River to Walnut Street. The annual parade will include plenty of entertainment, music, dancing, costumes and much more.
From Noon to 3:00 PM, an After-Parade Party will be at the Shamrock Lounge. A Beef & Guinness Stew with Mashed Potatoes and Soda Bread will be served for $6.00. The party will also include Bagpipers, Celtic Music, Irish Whiskey and Beer Specials.
3) Flea Market

Why you should go: Collectibles, antiques, memorabilia, vintage furniture, toys, books, jewelry, glassware – and probably any knickknack that you can think of, can be found at the Mid-America Flea Market.
The Mid-America Flea Market at the Kansas Coliseum is the largest indoor flea market in Kansas with more than 700 vendors. Every month, the event draws a crowd of 3,000, except for July and August when the event is closed. Just like the saying goes, ‘One man’s junk is another man’s treasure,’ which makes the flea market the perfect place to find hidden treasures.

Why you should go: Before you head out to do some St. Patty’s Day partying, burn some of those calories off by running/walking the 4th Annual St. Patrick’s 5K at Old Cowtown. A portion of the proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit Big Brother Big Sisters of Kansas.
The run/walk will begin and end near the Old Cowtown Museum entrance. The race will include an enjoyable course, bagpipe performance, food, and awards for winners. There will also be a costume contest, so make sure to put on your best St. Patty’s Day attire!
