Top Gun released in 3D and FREE exhibit currently showing in Wichita (February 8, 2013) |
Top Gun, Tony Scott's 1986 patriotic action-romance, is open for a limited time in 3D at Wichita’s 21st Street Warren IMAX theatre, located at 9150 W. 21st St.
The film was re-mastered for the big screen from high-resolution original negative scans and converted to 3D.

Top Gun stars Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt and Michael Ironside, and tells the story of a group of pilots competing to be the best in their class.
In addition, “Top Gun 3-D” Blu-ray will be released Feb. 19 with the new conversion, plus a six-part documentary on the making of Top Gun, interviews with Tom Cruise, music videos (including Kenny Loggins' “Danger Zone” and Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away”), and a commentary by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and the late director Tony Scott.
On Saturday, February 9th the Kansas Aviation Museum will give away 16 FREE tickets to the movie. A total of eight winners will be selected, each will receive two tickets. Along with the 3D showing of ‘Top Gun,’ a special Top Gun exhibit will be on display this weekend outside in front of the 21st Warren Theatre. The FREE exhibit will be open to the public from Friday, February 8th through February 10th. More details below:
