Wichita State University to Host Speaker: Lt. Dan Choi

Wichita State University will be hosting Lt. Dan Choi, as the Anti-Hate and Respect Week featured speaker, on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. The event will feature Speaker: Lt. Dan Choi, Iraq War Veteran and LGBT Activist.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Hubbard Hall, room 208 on the main campus of Wichita State University. This event is free for everyone. 

This event is sponsored by Human Resources, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Social Work Department, Sociology Department, Student Activities Council and That Gay at Wichita State University.

Lt. Dan Choi is a former American infantry officer in the United States Army and an LGBT rights activist who openly challenged the controversial Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. Listen to this compelling individual speak about his experiences in his speech titled, "Truths & Consequences."
