On Saturday, May 19, the Wichita Ribfest ended its three-day long festival with music newcomer, Casey James.
Casey James got his career started when he was a contestant on the ninth season of American Idol. While on Idol, James made it to third place, where he lost to runner-up Crystal Bowersox and winner Lee DeWyze.
Since Idol, James has gone on to sign with Sony Music Nashville, where his first single, “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night,” sold 5,000 copies during its first week. James co-wrote 9 out of the 11 songs on his self-titled debut CD, which he sung during his hour-long performance at the Wichita Ribfest.
