Christmas may be a couple months away, but it's time to start planning. If you want to make this Christmas extra special, how about donating gifts for our soldiers overseas? Cochran Mortuary is organizing Stockings for Soldiers, a way for Wichitans to send a little piece of home to the brave men and women who will be away from their families during the holiday season.
Cochran Mortuary is accepting donations of stocking stuffers now through Dec. 1. After everything is collected, Cochran Mortuary will be teaming up with Wichita North High School to stuff the stockings. Then they will be mailed overseas and delivered for Christmas.
Cochran Mortuary has provided a list of recommended items for donation. Remember our troops are mobile, so all items have to be small and convenient for travel. For now, all donations can be dropped off at Cochran Mortuary at 1411 N. Broadway (Broadway and 13th Street). We'll keep you updated as drop off points are added.
