Stage 3 water restrictions remain in place even after heavy rain

Despite all the rain this week, the North Texas Municipal Water District voted unanimously yesterday to remain in stage 3 water restrictions. The district, which serves a handful of North Texas counties says the rain cannot cure an almost two-year-long drought.

Stage 3 restrictions limit outdoor watering to twice a month.  They say the rain did push back plans to implement stage 4 restrictions which were scheduled to go into effect in April.
