UMOJA 5K Run and Walk at Grove Park, Wichita (Casey Siebels, FetchToto.com Editor / August 25, 2012) |
The Annual UMOJA 5K took place at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 25 in Grove Park, Wichita.
The 3.1 mile race course began at 27th and Grove, stretched throughout the park, down through the nature trails by Hillside, and back behind Brooks Magnet Middle School.
The 5K is part of the Wichita Black Arts Festival, which is a three day long festival on September 1 through September 3 at McAdams Park.
Proceeds from these events will go towards the Wichita Black Arts Festival Association (WBAFA) which is a non-profit, cultural organization that focuses on enriching the lives of the Wichita community and celebrating the African American cultural heritage.
