Amazing works of Chalk ART come to life in downtown Wichita

Hundreds of attendees came out on Saturday, August 11, for the Youthville Chalk ART Festival.

The FREE festival, which was located in Wichita’s Old Town Square, featured over 30 professional artists who provided live chalk art demonstrations.

Children were given the chance to design their own sidewalk chalk masterpieces and participate in other activities. The festival also included live music and vendor booths.

The Chalk ART pieces will be on display for viewing at CityArts (334 N. Mead) between Saturday, Aug. 11 through Saturday, September 22.

The public will get a chance to bid on the finished Chalk ART pieces during the Final Friday Chalk ART Festival Silent Auction event at CityArts on Friday, Aug. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Youthville’s Expressive Arts Center.
