Bluebird Arthouse, 924 West Douglas, will transform its vast 6,000 sq. ft. second-floor space into a one-stop shop from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday, October 20 for its first monthly Art Market.
Local vendors will sell “all things art, design, jewelry, accessories, vintage goods, photography, house wares, body products and more,” according to Emily Brookover, owner of Bluebird Art House.
The Flying Stove food truck also will be on location from 11 am to 1:30 pm to feed hungry shoppers.
“It’s like a Farmer’s Market, only better,” said Brookover. “We’re always looking for ways to support the local arts community, and using our space upstairs is a great way to help local vendors get their goods in front of an interested audience.”
The Art Market will take place the third Saturday of each month. Dates for the remainder of 2012 will be November 17 and December 15.
Local vendors interested in renting a 10x10 ft. open floor space for $45 per Saturday or an 8x4 ft. table for $30 per Saturday should contact Bluebird Arthouse at 316-440-2960 or go tot http://www.bluebirdarthouseks.com/the-art-market-at-bluebird-arthouse/ for an application and more information.
