Butterfly Release at Botanica Gardens

Children from the Boys and Girls Club came to Botanica Gardens last night for a live butterfly release.

This is the 5th year that the Boys and Girls Club has visited Botanica and released butterflies in the butterfly house.

Botanica's Butterfly Pansy House is a 2,880 square foot, net-covered exhibit that is dedicated to the exploration and education of butterflies in a natural setting.

The exhibit gives visitors the opportunity to see up to 50 different species of exotic and native butteflies.

Visitors can see these butterflies from June through September. During October through May, thousands of pansies are planted in the house.
