“The Final Friday event is a wonderful culmination of lots of effort from many people; we are delighted to be able to showcase such a vast number of talented artists from the Wichita area,” said Shelley Duncan, Youthville President and CEO. “And the silent auction is a great way to own a unique art piece, all benefitting the children and families we serve.”
An estimated 2,000 visitors attended the Chalk ART Festival in Old Town Square on Aug. 11 to watch live demonstrations by local and regional artists and enjoy live music.
“We are grateful for the community’s support of the inaugural Wichita Chalk ART Festival event,” said Micala Gingrich Gaylord, Expressive Arts Center Coordinator. “Without the artists donating their time and CityArts donated the gallery space, this event would not have been possible. They are a true testament to the support of arts in the area.”
Youthville’s vision is to provide the best sources of help to children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected with its mission of Giving Children Back Their Childhood.
