For years, the galleries of the Wichita Center for the Arts have been elaborately transformed by decorated tabletops for the upcoming holiday season.
Holiday Tables is an event that was started back in the 1960s, when a group of individuals began decorating tables to display festive ways to entertain for the holidays. This year’s decorating theme was “Table Dressings.”
This year's Holiday Tables took place on Thursday, November 8 through Saturday, November 10. The event featured dining tables of all shapes and sizes that were decorated by individuals, business and non-profits from Wichita.
Tables at this year's event included all different themes, including an Oriental, Mexican, Porsche, Halloween, Nautical and even A Christmas Story movie theme layout.
Along with a collection of exquisitely decorated holiday tables, the exhibit also had a variety of holiday decorations and delectable baked goods for sale.
