The Orpheum Theatre is now offering a special ticket package for the 2012 Fall Jazz Series.

Chick Corea and Gary Burton with the Harlem String Quartet, Esperanza Spalding, and the
Branford Marsalis Quartet are the performers in the Orpheum’s Fall Jazz Series.

When patrons order tickets to all three shows at once, they will receive a 30% discount off of each
ticket price.

The Jazz Series Package discount is only available when purchasing tickets through Select-A-Seat by phone at 316.755.7328 or in-person at the Intrust Bank Arena Box Office or Orpheum Theatre Box Office (open one hour before show time during performances and films).

Corea, an NEA Jazz Master and 16-time Grammy winner, and Burton will perform material from their new album Hot House, exploring their unique takes on “standards” — by composers from Kurt Weill and Antonio Carlos Jobim to Thelonious Monk and Lennon & McCartney.

The multiple Grammy-winning duo also adds the Harlem String Quartet, expanding their legendary chamber-jazz repertoire on Chick’s composition “Mozart Goes Dancing” and classic Chick & Gary tunes.

Jazz bassist and vocalist, Spalding was one of the biggest breakout starts of 2011. Her receipt of the 2011 GRAMMY® for Best New Artist was the first time a jazz musician has won this award.

She will perform from her latest release, Radio Music Society which is another unprecedented chapter in the Esperanza Spalding story, building on her past triumphs and achieving new heights that she will no doubt exceed in the future.

Branford Marsalis Quartet on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
The legendary saxophonist, Marsalis, and his tight-knit working band invite audiences into their world of musical cohesion with the release of Four MFs Playin' Tunes.

On this nimble and sparkling album, the band respects the emotional intent of each song and executes that intent with musicianship focused solely on serving the purpose of each tune.
