1) “Singin’ in the Rain” – Music Theatre of Wichita

Why you should go: Come watch one of Hollywood’s greatest movie musicals of all time: ‘Singin’ in the Rain.’ The musical, which closely follows the plot of the 1952 movie, includes familiar songs “All I Do is Dream of You,” “Moses Supposes,” “Make ‘Em Laugh,” “You Were Meant for Me,” and of course, “Singing in the Rain.”
Along with the movies familiar songs, you’ll also enjoy original dance moves created by the movie’s choreographers, Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen. This is an event that the whole family can enjoy and is rated G (for an audience 5 years of age or older). The musical will run for approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes.

2) Wichita Bridal Expo

The showcase will include over 200 booths full of food, wedding cakes, wine samplings, floral & décor displays, interactive dance and cake cutting, dance instructions, interactive catering stations, black tie chocolate extravaganza, and more.
Another exciting feature of the Wichita Bridal Expo will be its Fashion Show. The show is the biggest Wedding Fashion Stage Show in Kansas and will feature bridal and prom fashions from 8 different bridal stores. Professional models from Models and Images are provided for this year’s summer expo.
3) Alefs Harley-Davidson 7th Birthday Bash

Why you should go: It wouldn’t be a birthday bash without an Alef’s Angels swimsuit contest! The Alef’s Angels will compete in two contests: Harley-wear (1 p.m.) and swimsuit contest (3 p.m.). Contest voting will end at 4 p.m. and twelve women will be crowned as the new 2013 Alefs Angels who will be featured in the 2013 calendar.
Vendors will be serving up tasty food from Papa John’s, Stubby’s BBQ, Mountain Man Nuts and Indian Tacos. Since it’s the middle of summer, there will also be ice cold beer sold by the ladies of Twin Peaks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Other activities will include motorcycle skills and drills, team demos, raffles prizes, live music and an all-day bike wash.
4) ICT Fest

Why you should go: Downtown Wichita will be full of music all weekend long. The ICT Fest will feature concerts from over 25 bands this Friday and Saturday at Shift Space gallery in downtown Wichita. The genre of music will range from minimal electronic to punk to noise rock from bands across the Midwest.
