American Idol recently announced that the ‘American Idol’ staff will be making their way to Dodge City this Friday, August 24, 2012.
For the first time ever, American Idol will embark on a ‘Small Town Audition Bus Tour’ which will visit 10 small towns nationwide – and Dodge City is one of those 10 cities!
The ‘Small Town’ tour has so far visited Idaho Falls, ID; Billings, MT; Casper, WY; Rock Rapids, IA; Iowa City, IA; Bowling Green, KY; and Clarksdale, MS.
‘American Idol’ auditions will take place at Wright Park in Dodge City on Friday. Registration is FREE and will begin at 9 AM.

Ages: Ages 15 to 28 years old on June 5, 2012 can audition (which means you must be born on or between June 6, 1983 and June 5, 1997). If you were born before or after this window, you are not eligible to participate this season.
If you're under 18: A parent or legal guardian, age 21 or older, must accompany a minor. The parent or guardian must bring a photo ID. Legal guardians must also bring legal documentation about the guardianship.
Audition Times: Registration is on audition day. No overnight camping is allowed. Do not arrive at the audition location earlier than the designated start time of registration.
What to bring: Two forms of ID that show proof of age, a completed Personal Release, and those under the age of 18 and attending audition with a guardian other than your parent must have a completed and NOTARIZED Guardian and Medical Authorization for Minors.
